DESCRIPTION
We professionally handcraft some of the finest hairpin legs available, offering the best combination of quality, cost, shipping speed, and customer service. Starting with American made steel, we cold bend the leg which helps increase strength. Our bend radius is one of the tightest available, giving the legs a sleek and historically accurate representation of the original 1940s design by Henry Glass. We laser cut the 4.75” mounting plate to include three 0.25” diameter mounting holes, remove all sharp corners, and inspect 100% to ensure item consistency. We then TIG weld the leg assembly to produce an incredibly strong and meticulously made product. This welding process requires a higher degree of skill and equipment, and is therefore more costly and time consuming than what most shops use, but yields a superior visual result when the legs are mounted. You’ll see the difference. The legs are then gently brushed and left as raw steel ready for a DIY finish.

HANDLING AND CARE INSTRUCTIONS
We only use new, high quality American made steel in the production of our furniture leg products. Raw, uncoated steel may contain surface variations including color, texture, pitting, flaking, minor scratches, mill scale, oxidation, etc.
All visible oxidation (rust) is removed from our products prior to shipping; however, eventually raw, uncoated steel will oxidize. The rate at which this occurs is highly dependent on ambient humidity levels. In humid summer months, minor surface oxidation may even occur during transit, but can be easily removed by using a Scotch Brite pad or steel wool. In order to mitigate future oxidation, many of our customers choose a natural solution such as linseed oil (flax seed) or beeswax as both have been used for centuries as metal protectants. A third option is to apply metal paint/clear coat such as Rustoleum Clear Coat, or of course your favorite color. Powder coated legs are also available from our shop.
