This superb and
STUNNING
‘Newrybar’ High Art Deco 1930’s themed teapot with its stylised presentation of vintage Rolls Royce wedding car waiting outside a country cafe to receive the bride and groom from their Reception, is a serious ‘must have’ for any Art Deco or Clarice Cliff Gotham Collector. The spout, handle and lid are all hand painted.
Originally produced in NooroMason Fine China in the 1970’s and later retailed worldwide by the Clarice Cliff Gotham company in London, this teapot is indeed a very
rare
find.
Clarice Cliff Gotham purchased all remaining stocks of the Newrybar teapot from NooroMason’s when they ceased trading in the 1980’s and by 1999 this teapot had been sold out – and was never repeated thereafter.
While Newrybar teapots do appear occasionally for sale on antique and second hand markets, they are only very rarely in perfect original condition. However this one is ‘new old stock’, has never been previously used or circulated and as such has been described as ‘New’ rather than ‘Used’.
Note:
Clarice Cliff high Art Deco style but not original Clarice Cliff brand.

‘Yesterday’
is one of the Pottery’s more popular designs. Use them as a pair of salt and pepper shakers if you don’t want them for cabinet display or re-sell them on eBay in your home country (with cheap postage) for a tidy profit!
‘Yesterday’ depicts a stylised presentation of a 1930’s group of village shops on a mythical yellow brick road overseen by a group of  terrace houses on the hill above the town.
The tip and the orange base ring are hand painted and their current retail price in the London Galleries and Design Shops is £65 each (plus vat). Australian purchasers will also of course receive the same 3 piece parcel should the purchaser be resident here.
