The material is 3mil thick but, if you are concerned about
durability, see the comment we received below.  These numbers are
commonly used for road racing, motocross, jet ski, autocross, go-kart, motorcycle and
other forms of racing. Get an extra set for that unexpected mishap.

I thought I’d let you know how the numbers are holding up. I put the numbers on
my bike shortly after receiving them and have done numerous desert rides and a
couple of races.  I have taken a couple of spills in the sand (which
usually destroys most numbers) and the numbers have stayed intact and more
importantly on the bike.  The adhesive is awesome.  My buddy put on
some store bought numbers of the same thickness and two of his numbers are
already missing from minor spills in the sand.
